This specimen presents an unusually fine crystallization of yellow to orange Calcite, a variety that stands out among the typically colorless or white examples of this widespread carbonate mineral. The crystals display well-formed rhombohedral faces, the classic habit produced by Calcite's trigonal symmetry, and the crystal surfaces show a clean, glassy quality that allows the geometry of each face to be appreciated from multiple angles.

The overall composition of the piece is notable for its aesthetic equilibrium: the crystallization spreads across the specimen in a way that highlights both the natural symmetry of the individual rhombohedra and the collective visual impact of the group. This combination of sharp facial development and a warm, saturated color is relatively uncommon for Calcite specimens on the market, adding both mineralogical interest and display value.

The specimen comes from Midelt Province, in the Drâa-Tafilalet Region of Morocco, an area of the Upper Moulouya district long known among collectors for its stratiform lead-baryte deposits and for producing fine secondary and gangue minerals, including well-crystallized Calcite, alongside the region's more famous vanadinite and galena finds.

This piece is well suited both to systematic mineral collections and to display, appealing to anyone drawn to the natural beauty of well-formed crystal specimens.
