A striking composition of pure white calcite crystals stacked one upon the other, each individual crystal doubly-terminated and twinned. The specimen displays remarkable zones of intense luster that catch the light beautifully, creating a bright play of reflections across the cold-white surfaces. Recovered from a newly discovered pocket in the Serrenti area of Sardinia, this piece is notable for the aesthetic clarity of its faces and the unusual parallel stacking of the twinned individuals.

This is a genuinely eye-catching composition of natural calcite from a new find in the Serrenti area of Sardinia, Italy. The specimen is built from numerous doubly-terminated, twinned calcite crystals stacked directly one on top of another, a growth arrangement that is uncommon and gives the piece an almost architectural, layered structure rather than the more typical single scalenohedral points seen in most calcite specimens.

The color is a cold, crisp white throughout, and several crystal faces show intense zones of glassy luster that catch and bounce light dramatically as the specimen is turned, producing lively internal reflections across the terminations. Under close inspection the crystal faces are crisp and well-defined, allowing the characteristic rhombohedral cleavage planes and contact-twin junctions to be clearly appreciated — a hallmark of well-formed, undamaged calcite growth.

Because this material comes from a newly discovered pocket rather than an established, long-worked deposit, well-formed multi-crystal compositions of this quality from the Serrenti area are still uncommon on the collector market, adding to the specimen's appeal for both aesthetic display and systematic Sardinian mineral collections.
