This is a beautiful cabinet specimen of Fluorite from the Esperanza Mine near Melchor Múzquiz, in the state of Coahuila, one of the most productive fluorite-bearing regions of northern Mexico. The crystals show an intense, deep violet-purple color and a remarkable stepped cubic habit, with successive parallel growth layers forming a striking, almost architectural texture across the crystal faces.

The specimen is composed of a cluster of well-formed cubic crystals with sharp edges and a bright, glassy luster that catches the light beautifully, enhancing the sense of depth typical of this variety. The overall composition shows a pleasing balance between crystal size, color saturation and structural symmetry, giving the piece strong aesthetic and mineralogical appeal.

Fluorite from the Múzquiz district forms in low-temperature hydrothermal deposits of Mississippi Valley type, a geological setting that also favors the development of the sharply stepped, cityscape-like crystal faces this locality is particularly known for among collectors. The Esperanza Mine itself is a comparatively lesser-known source on the international market compared to more famous Mexican fluorite localities, which adds to the rarity and collectible value of well-formed pieces like this one.
