This is a fine cluster of scalenohedral Calcite, commonly nicknamed "dogtooth" Calcite for the sharply pointed, tooth-like terminations produced by this crystal habit. The crystals display a soft milky-white body color and are well formed, allowing the individual faces, edges and pointed tips of each scalenohedron to be clearly appreciated across the group. Growth is natural and the crystals show good definition, with the classic elongated, faceted look that makes dogtooth Calcite so recognizable among carbonate specimens.
