This is a fine, fully natural and untreated specimen of Aragonite from the well-known Spanish locality of Minglanilla, in the province of Cuenca, Castile-La Mancha. The piece displays a striking columnar aggregate composed of elongated, parallel prismatic crystals, growing side by side in a compact and cohesive cluster that highlights the mineral's characteristic acicular-to-columnar habit.

The coloration ranges from warm beige to a deeper reddish-brown, distributed unevenly across the crystal faces and creating a pleasant natural contrast within the piece. The crystal surfaces are finely striated along their length, a texture typical of aragonite's prismatic growth, and carry a bright, almost resinous luster that reflects light attractively along each column.

Minglanilla is one of the most celebrated Spanish localities for aragonite, having supplied collectors for decades with columnar and twinned crystal groups in this same warm brown palette. Aragonite from the wider Cuenca area is well documented for growing with a pseudo-hexagonal habit resulting from cyclic twinning on the {110} face, a distinctive crystallographic feature that gives many pieces from the region their characteristic faceted cross-section.
