This is a superb, completely natural specimen of Grossular Garnet in its famous pink “Rosolite” variety, one of the most sought-after color forms of this calcium-aluminum garnet on the international collector market. The piece is dominated by large, well-formed dodecahedral crystals — the classic twelve-faced crystal habit typical of garnet-group minerals — showing sharp, well-defined edges and lustrous crystal faces that catch the light beautifully.

The color is an intense, vivid raspberry-pink, remarkably saturated and even across the visible crystal faces, standing in striking contrast against the pale, light-toned matrix on which the crystals have developed. The growth is harmonious and well balanced, with the crystals sitting prominently on the host rock rather than being isolated, giving the piece strong visual impact and a genuinely scenographic quality ideal for both serious mineralogical collections and refined display in exclusive interiors.

The specimen comes from the Sierra de Cruces range, in the Sierra Mojada Municipality of Coahuila, Mexico — the type locality for this particular raspberry-pink to red grossular, formed where an intrusive diorite body metamorphosed the surrounding Cretaceous limestones, generating skarn zones rich in grossular, vesuvianite, calcite, quartz and wollastonite. Material of this color and crystal size from this specific deposit has become increasingly difficult to source both in the field and on the collector market, adding to its desirability. No damage or condition issues were reported by the seller for this piece.
