This specimen showcases a cluster of vivid green Pyromorphite crystals developed on a pale, quartz-rich matrix, an association that intensifies the visual impact of the mineral's saturated color. The hexagonal prismatic crystals display the characteristic barrel-like habit typical of the species, with faces catching the light in a resinous, almost waxy sheen that is a hallmark of fine Pyromorphite.

The piece originates from the Daoping Mine, a lead-zinc deposit in Gongcheng County, near Guilin, in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of southern China. Since the early 2000s, this locality has become internationally renowned among mineral collectors for yielding some of the most saturated apple-green Pyromorphite specimens ever found, rivaling and in many cases surpassing the historic material once supplied by classic European localities. The contrast between the bright green crystals and the lighter quartz matrix is a signature feature that makes Daoping specimens instantly recognizable and highly desirable.

The overall aesthetic balance of the crystallization, combined with the quality of the individual crystal faces, makes this an excellent example of the species for display or for a systematic collection focused on secondary lead minerals.
