The white portions of the cluster represent zones with little to no iron oxide staining, highlighting the color zoning that developed during crystallization.

The specimen displays a well-developed hexagonal crystal habit typical of Calcite's trigonal symmetry, with numerous individual crystals intergrown into a dense cluster and showing clearly defined prism and rhombohedral faces.
