Excellent natural specimen of Hopper Quartz ("Quarzo Tramoggia") from Isolabona, Nervia Valley, Liguria — a scientifically documented and published Italian locality known for producing quartz crystals with a genuinely unusual skeletal growth pattern.

The specimen consists of a large, highly transparent crystal, displaying natural clay inclusions trapped within the quartz during its growth. These internal inclusions create distinctive plays of light and visual depth, giving the piece a unique, almost sculptural character quite different from typical clear quartz.

Val Nervia hopper quartz is distinguished from similar material at other Italian localities (such as Porretta Terme) by its characteristic reddish clay inclusions, a diagnostic trait tied to the local sandstone geology in which these crystals form.

A scenic, scientifically interesting specimen, ideal for collectors of unusual quartz varieties or anyone drawn to naturally sculptural, light-catching mineral pieces.
