A rare and visually striking specimen of golden-yellow Fluorite perched on a lustrous Quartz matrix. The Fluorite forms dense, rounded aggregates that appear almost spherical or botryoidal at first glance, but on closer inspection reveal countless small, sharply crystallized octahedral faces with subtly curved triangular surfaces — an unusual habit tied to a specific and limited find from Zhejiang Province, China. The intense honey-yellow color and glassy, almost wet-looking luster of the crystals create a beautiful contrast against the white-to-translucent Quartz matrix, making this an eye-catching piece for both display and specialized collections.

This is a genuinely distinctive Fluorite specimen from Zhejiang Province, China, showcasing an unusual pseudo-spherical crystal habit that has made this particular find highly sought after among collectors since its discovery. Rather than the typical cubic or octahedral single crystals commonly associated with the species, this piece is built from countless small octahedral crystals fused together into rounded, botryoidal-looking clusters, each face displaying a subtle curvature that gives the overall aggregate its striking ball-like appearance while remaining fully and naturally crystalline.

The Fluorite displays a deep, saturated golden-yellow to honey color with an exceptional glassy, almost liquid-looking luster, allowing light to pass through the outer layers of the crystal groups. This vivid color sits in beautiful contrast against the underlying Quartz matrix, whose paler, more textural surface helps the yellow crystal masses stand out dramatically. The specimen measures 99 x 63 x 44 mm and weighs 246 grams, placing it comfortably in the Medium Cabinet size range, with enough crystal coverage and dimensional relief to make a strong display piece.

The material comes from the Qingwan Mine, in Wujita village, Chenzhai town, Zhuji City, within the Shaoxing prefecture of Zhejiang Province, China — a region long known for hosting some of the world's most prolific fluorite deposits, formed through low-temperature hydrothermal activity linked to granite intrusions. This particular golden-yellow, rounded crystal style was only recovered in a limited find, making well-formed, sizeable examples increasingly difficult to source on the market today.
