This is a substantial cluster of naturally formed Calcite, dominated by an intricate intergrowth of hexagonal crystals displaying a striking range of colors: warm yellow, vibrant orange, and crisp white, sometimes zoned within the same crystal. The individual crystals show well-defined faces and sharp edges, typical of the trigonal crystal system expressed here through a pseudo-hexagonal prismatic habit, where prism and rhombohedral faces combine to create the characteristic six-sided outlines.

The overall aggregate has an unusually dense and interwoven structure, with dozens of crystals radiating and interlocking to form a single cohesive mass rather than a loose grouping. This kind of complex intergrowth is prized by collectors specifically because it creates a strong three-dimensional aesthetic impact, with light catching different crystal faces at different angles.

The exact mine of origin has not been confirmed with certainty; the piece is associated with one of several well-known Chinese calcite-producing regions, most likely in the provinces of Hubei, Hunan or Fujian, all recognized sources of colorful, well-crystallized Calcite. According to the seller, this material represents a relatively recent and still poorly documented find, which increases its interest and rarity on the current specimen market, since well-formed, vividly colored hexagonal Calcite of this size is not common.

No damage or repairs were reported by the seller for this specimen.
